Easy Photo Video is dedicated to helping you choose and use your Sony E-Mount camera, lenses, and accessories.

Hi! 👋 My name is Kelsey (I’m the one on the right in the selfie photo below that I took with my fiancé) and I’ve been a Sony Alpha camera owner since June 2017.

• I used a reusable point-and-shoot film camera in middle and high school
• I used a Canon PowerShot A95 point-and-shoot digital camera in college
• I bought a Canon PowerShot SX530 bridge camera in graduate school
• I bought my first interchangeable lens camera in April 2013, the Canon EOS Rebel T4i (APS-C DSLR camera).

I enjoyed using my Canon DSLR with a Sigma 8-16mm ultra wide angle lens to capture beautiful vistas on vacation, but eventually I grew tired of having to carry so much additional weight, and I started to not want to bring my camera on hikes.

After much research on cameras that would meet my preferences for lighter weight and better quality video recording, I purchased the Sony α6500 (APS-C Mirrorless camera) in June 2017, and fell in love with the compact size and image quality.

If I had to pick one kit, it would depend the situation of course, but my current favorite camera and lens combination is:

• Sony α6700 + Sony E 70-350mm F3.5-5.6 G OSS

I have no formal education or training in either photography or videography.

• I am not a professional photographer
• I enjoy taking photos of my travels / vacations to help me preserve the memories
• Although I have taken some great photos with my Sony gear over the past few years, I still have a lot to learn about photography, especially related to shooting in RAW and editing in post.

• I am not a professional videographer, but I do earn money from some of the videos I’ve published online.
• I’ve started a few different YouTube channels since 2017, and nearly all of the videos on these channels have been recorded with a Sony E-Mount camera:

  • iTech Whisperer

• My main goal for this website is to help others by sharing what I have learned.
• I want to help you choose what camera, lens, or accessory is best for you.
• I also want to help you learn about how to actually use your camera to its fullest potential in order to create amazing photos and videos, whether you want to preserve precious life memories or start your own YouTube channel.

• Another motivation I had for creating this website was to create this filterable and sortable Sony E-Mount Lens Finder (for myself as well as for others!).
